There are certain criteria to be satisfied to take admission in a university to pursue arts. Each of these guidelines describes the requirements a candidate needs to fulfil to apply for these courses.
The aspirant must score at least 50% marks during their 10+2 from a recognised board – ISC/ CBSE or any state board.
The candidate should not be over 22 years old.
The applicant can belong to any stream- Science, Commerce or Humanities. Belonging to Arts stream at an intermediate level will be just an added advantage.
There are no cut off marks for students belonging to scheduled caste or scheduled tribe.

The Bachelor of Arts degree has been prominent in academics for centuries. It influenced universities to begin focusing on broad topics such as algebra, psychology, biology, art, history, and philosophy.
The aspirant must have graduated from a recognised college/university.
The aspirant must score at least 50% marks during their graduation.
The degree can be conferred in respect of completing courses and passing examinations, research, or a combination of the two.
Under the new system, it takes only 2 years but requires a previously completed 3-year bachelor's program (a Bc. title). Writing a thesis (in both master's and bachelor's programs) and passing final exams are necessary to obtain the degree. It is mostly the case that the final exams cover the main study areas of the whole study program, i.e. a student is required to prove their knowledge in the subjects they attended during the 2 resp. 3 years of their study. Exams also include the defence of a thesis before an academic board.
To get enrolled in an arts graduate degree most colleges consider 12th standard marks percentage only, while some universities have their specific entrance exams.
